Payment & Pricing

This page explains on which basis prices are being calculated, which taxes apply and what your payment options are and how they are being exercised. If something is not clear to you or you have any questions, please do not hesitate to let us know.

For secure payment, in the data transfer during order action, standardized SSL (secure socket layer) is used to ensure that your data is protected. The banks, payment providers and payment gateways we use, are also using this method.

Payment Methods

VIVA-LITE offers different methods of payment. Please note that not all payment methods* are available in all locations.

  • Prepayment: Discounts can be granted at the discretion of the reseller when using prepayment. It is discounted from the amount on the invoice immediately, when you select "prepayment".

    You will receive a confirmation via email including our account data, to which the amount due should be transfered. Please note, that your order number and your familiy name (for businesses the company name) is used as reason for transfer. Thus we can assign your payment more quickly and deal with your order.

    After we have received your payment, you will get a payment receipt confirmation. When the ordered goods are forwarded, you will get a notice of delivery.

  • PayPal: You can choose this payment option during the checkout. With a short click you will get to the PayPal-website. There you can directly finish your payment. Afterwards you should be redirected to the order success page of our shop. We should receive instant confirmation concerning the successful incoming payment, when the transaction is finished. When available, your order will be forwarded immediately.


  • Moneybookers: You can choose this payment option during the checkout. After finishing your order, a Moneybookers-link will occur. With a short click you will get to the Moneybookers-website. There you can directly finish your payment. Once the funds are available in our Moneybookers account, your order will be forwarded immediately.


  • Credit card (Mastercard/Visa)*: If you select payment per creditcard, we need your credit card number, the validity date and the CVC number (last 3 or 4 digits on the reverse of your card). When the transaction is done, we will receive a receipt confirmation and process your order at the earliest possible time.


  • Online Transaction ("Sofortüberweisung")*: This payment method is very popular in Central Europe and may not be available in other places. It allows you to directly transfer the funds related an order via a secure connection to your bank. We will get instant confirmation of incoming payments and are able to process your order quickly.


  • Cash on delivery*: When using cash on delivery, some additional service fees are to pay varying from country to country. They are already covered in the total amount, if you choose this method in your shopping cart. The cash payment takes place directly when the goods are delivered. Please note that cheques cannot be accepted since beginning of 2002.


  • Pickup / Cash on Pickup*: If you are from Herford(Germany) or surrounding, you can pick up your order self-evident in our shop in Herford. You can pay cash or by ec- or credit card (Amex, Mastercard or Visa). In that case just select the method "collection / cash" in your shopping cart.


We do not accept payment by cheque or money order.

Fluctuations in the Currency Exchange Rate

Fluctuations in the currency exchange rate on the day of the purchase may result in a slight difference in the totals. All products selected in the NZ online store will be charged in NZ Dollars, in the AU online store in AU Dollars and products selected in an European Online store will be charged in Euros.


Pre-authorisation: By using our online store and ordering via credit card, the amount of your order will be pre-authorised but not actually charged. Pre-authorisation is a hold on funds usually for 7-10 days. This means your available credit will decrease by the amount of your order, but your card will not actually be charged until the day your item(s) actually ship.

Incorrect Payment Details

Incorrect Bank Account Number: VIVA-LITE gives the customer the choice to pay for products through bank transfer. If the customer credits money to the incorrect bank account number, and the correct number was provided to the customer by VIVA-LITE, then VIVA-LITE will not accept any responsibilty for correcting payment and the goods will not be dispatched.

Price Display

Except where noted otherwise, the list price displayed for products on our website represents the full retail price listed on the product itself, suggested by the manufacturer or supplier, or estimated in accordance with standard industry practice; or the estimated retail value for a comparably featured item offered elsewhere. The list price is a comparative price estimate and may or may not represent the prevailing price in every area on any particular day. The stipulated prices are plus shipping, payment or service costs, as can be seen during the order process.


With respect to items sold by VIVA-LITE, we cannot confirm the price of an item until you order; however, we do NOT charge your credit card until after your order has entered the shipping process. Despite our best efforts, a small number of the items in our catalog may be mispriced. If an item's correct price is higher than our stated price, we will, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before shipping or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation.


Taxes will be charged based on the shipping address. GST/VAT: For delivery addresses that are in the country of the related domain name you are ordering from, all prices are GST/VAT inclusive unless otherwise stated. If your order ships to a delivery addresses outside this condition, no GST/VAT will be charged.
